IGOR ESPANHOL MANUEL

Igor is Sport for Life Mozambique National Coordinator and is an experienced International Facilitator launching the project in new countries. His mission is to activate the Sport for Life Movement in Mozambique and beyond.

Igor previously worked with SportImpact in 2016 in Cabo Verde as a partner, where he was working with the largest youth-LED organization in the world AIESEC representing  Cabo Verde.

In August 2019, Igor led a volunteering Mission in Mozambique with the goal to re-activate the Sport For Life Movement in Mozambique. In 2021 he co-facilitated a launch project in Zambia and in 2022 he co-facilitated launch projects in São Tomé and Príncipe and Botswana.

For over 8 years Igor worked with several international Youth Led organizations, in 3 countries in Africa (Mozambique, Malawi and Cabo Verde) where he had the opportunity to lead teams and projects at national and international level.

After being the Country Manager of AIESEC in Cabo Verde, Igor created a  project called SDG to Youth Festival with the goal of bringing awareness to the youth about the Sustainable Development Goals in Cabo Verde, the project  had more than 1000 young people involved and have engaged the Government of Cabo Verde and the United Nations.

Igor also  worked as Advisor to the 8th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Cabo Verde and as a consultant for Bonako (A startup that creates mobile applications and games based on African culture),

After working in different sectors and countries, Igor gained skills in project management, team management, impact management, sales, facilitation and presentation.

Igor is a native Portuguese speaker, speaks English fluently, can communicate in Cabo Verdean Creoule and has a basic understanding of Changana (a local language in Maputo/Mozambique).
