Report: VerdeOlympics Train The Trainers, Cabo Verde.

The second phase of Sport for life, Train the trainer successfully took place from the 29th to 2nd Dec at the Comite Olimpico building with an attendance of 17 representatives from the nine inhabited islands in Cape Verde.  Each representative got an opportunity to share their experiences and ideas from their workshops and events and learnt more from our amazing team of facilitators in Cape Verde.

Among other topics they learnt more about Leadership, Action Plan, Human Resources, Material Resources, Event Promotion, Proposal Writing and Club Formalization. Key skills that will enable them to easily replicate the Sport for Life Program hence even more Impact.img_7083jpg

The one week event involved four days of interactive sessions and fun breaks, check out our #mannequinchallenge on our facebook page and pictures below. All the participants who came with some questions left with all the answers and felt more empowered than ever.


On the fifth day our participants got an opportunity to attend The Annual Association of National Committees of Africa Zone two. Read more about the events about the events on this day here.


They got another opportunity to be consultants of Sport for life, where they shared their experiences from the VerdeOlympic Events they organized to all the attendees (representatives of National Olympic Committees) of the seminar from eight different countries in West Africa. Including Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Mali, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Gambia.

The Train the Trainers event ended with a beautiful trip (retreat) Cidade Velha. And receiving of certificates on Saturday December 3rd before their departures to their home islands.
