Disputes arise frequently in school sports, generating relevant costs. ADR (e.g., negotiation, mediation, arbitration) is being increasingly adopted in all sectors of society, including sports. Costs of conflict can be minimized (1) providing training on people and dispute management to all stakeholders, (2) establishing dispute resolution roles (e.g., ombudsperson, mediator and arbitrator) and (3) creating dispute systems.    Read more
